I am tired of all the dancing around the subject with respect to Barack Obama’s political, social, and economic views. If you have some time on your hands, I would highly recommend reading The Audacity of Barack Obama, by Charles Kesler. It's a 7000-something word essay, but is fascinating and extremely insightful. A brief analysis/synopsis of it can be found here.

Based on a comprehensive reading of Obama's books and speeches, Professor Kesler deduces that Obama's ambition is not merely personal, but is political and Rooseveltian in scope.
